Jobu's Day Job

Jobu's Day Job

Mark Holmes' love of building and construction started early with his prized collection of Tonka trucks and an overwhelming desire to dig trenches in his parent's backyard. His first nickname was Pigpen because he was frequently covered from head to toe in dirt. From the pic above, you can see that nickname holds true to this very day.

Mark may have engaged more than 100,000 YouTube followers because of his love and knowledge of the Dallas Cowboys but fans get a glimpse into his "Day Job" on a regular basis. When news of the Cowboys breaks, he stops whatever he is doing to offer fans the latest news ASAP. Some days, that means he's reporting from crawl spaces, ditches, roof tops or the catacombs at the National Mall.

He considers himself a jack of all trades and his unique experience in the industry includes historical renovations, new home construction, commercial projects and custom woodworking.

Over the years, he has breathed new life into old homes many would consider unsavable and even built a few new ones from the ground up. None have touched his heart more than Waynesboro's Red Brick House. Built in 1820, this house served as the town school, a hospital during the Civil War and a Mason's Lodge. In 2016, Mark got the opportunity to save this old house from a scheduled demolition. It's renovation tested every skill Mark has ever had and them some. But today it stands stronger than ever.
